Pangandaran be Revived after Tsunami

For the time being, some activities such as surfing, jet ski and swimming have been able to be done by the tourist.

Pangandaranlocated in South Ciamis, only 92 km from Ciamis, Pangandaran is famous for its special attractions such as:

1. Sunrise and sunset
2. Clean and safe beaches
3. White sand beaches
4. Lifeguards
5. Asphalt and well lit roads
6. Seabed and the Cirengganis River which is believed to be a youth river
7. Wildlife Park and its rare flora and fauna

Pananjung NaturePark

Pananjung Nature Park is 530 hectare Wildlife Park. The area is comprised of 37.70 hectare that has rare floras and faunas such as the Rafflesia Padma flower, bulls, deer, and a variety of monkey species.

We can also find natural and man-made caves such as Panggung Cave, Lanang Cave, Japanese Caves, Cirengganis water spring, white sand beaches, and seabed.

Batu Hiu

Batu Hiu is located in the village of Ciliang, Parigi District, where is 14 km south of Pangandaran. This place has a beautiful view, which can be viewed from a hilltop of Pandan Wong Trees. Two hundred away from the beach lies a boulder that resembles a shark. Turtle breeding is also famous in this area. The facilities provided in this area are huts, food stalls, souvenir shops, parking areas and Tourist Information Center

Batukaras

Enjoy this quite and beautiful beach, which is a mixture of the beauty of both Pangandaran and Batu Hiu. Batukaras is located in the village of Batukaras, Cijulang District, only 34 km from Pangandaran This area is a camping ground as well as a place for surfing. Batukaras offers a variety of hotels, restaurants, camping grounds, souvenir shops, and surfboard rental.

Keusik Luhur

Keusik Luhur is a mountainous area with a breathtaking view of the beach. Keusik Luhur is known for its high waves that lift the sand and hit the rocks. The area is located in the village of Kertamukti, Cimerak District, 45 km south of Pangandaran.

Karangnini

Karangnini is located in the village of Emplak, Kalicupang District, 83 km south of Ciamis. We can find a boulder in beautiful banyan tree forest that resembles a form of grandmother. The legend says that this old woman was waiting for her husband for such a long time until somehow she turned into a rock. Besides the beautiful panoramic beaches, there are also many rare floras and faunas we can find in this area.

Cukang Taneuh (GreenCanyon)

Cukang Taneuh, which is original name for Grand Canyon, located in the village of Kertayasa, Cijulang district 31 kms south of Pangandaran. Green canyon located not so far from Batukaras and Nusawiru airport.

Green Canyon is apart of Cijulang river that goes through a cave full of stalactite and stalagmite surrounded by two beautiful green hills.

At the entrance of the cave, lies the Palatar waterfall. The waterfall gives the area cool and fully adventurous atmosphere. Rock climbing, swimming, sailing and fishing are some pastime famous activities in this area.

Boat can be rented at the Ciseureuh dock to reach the area. Grenn canyon facilitated with boat docks, parking areas, food stalls, souvenir shops, rest rooms and other facilities
