Hotel Tjampuhan is set in a lush tropical Bali garden and river view. 67 pleasant cottages overlooking the picturesque Ubud valley, only a short stroll from the Ubud, monkey forest, the Puri Lukisan Museum of Balinese Art, the former king's palace and traditional former market.

A visit to the Tjampuhan Spa is intertwined with the fragrance of distilled oils and herbal essences and the texture and sensation of ground spices, roots, flowers and leaves used in massages preparations. These traditional formulas and secret palace lotions are prepared at the Spa and are now available for purchase at the hotel. Set in a lush, terraced garden overlooking a sacred river valley, the Tjampuhan Spa is a haven for comfort and relaxation where guests can spend the day in a gloriousnatural setting. Built in 1928 for guests of the Prince of Ubud, the Hotel Tjampuhan came to prominence in 1934 when it became the starting point for Pita Maha, an artists' association founded by Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati and the noted Western artists Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet.

Sixty-seven individual dwellings built in traditional Balinese style are scattered among landscaped terraces and gardens, offering private views of the tropical river valleys and the 900-year-old Gunung Lembah temple complex which marks the meeting of the sacred Oos and Tjampuhan rivers. Surrounded by a rich assortment of tropical plants and flowers, the Hotel Tjampuhan provides a natural sanctuary for vividly-colored birds and butterflies, and the perfect base for a visit to Bali's artistic heartland.

About Dining ?
The Terrace Bar and Restaurant seats 60, serving Western, Indonesian and Balinese specialties. Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 11.00 every morning, and dinner from 6.30 to midnight.
The Spa Cafe seats 25 and is open from 10 AM for Balinese snacks and Ubud tea favorite Cocktails and a selection of afternoon teas are served at the main Pool Bar overlooking the valley from 10 AM to 11 PM every day, while drinks and refreshments are served at the Spring Poolside Bar from 10 AM to 6 PM.
Entertainment is available at the Movie House from 10 AM, with cocktails served to accompany your favorite films until 10 PM.

Room service for meals and snack is available from 7.30 AM to 11 PM.
